Epithalon (also known as Epitalon or Epithalone) is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the amino acid sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. It is based on the naturally occurring polypeptide epithalamine isolated from the pineal gland. Epithalon is studied for its effects on telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) expression, melatonin secretion regulation, and cellular senescence pathways.
